I began to run downstairs. When I got to the second floor, I found the smoke grew thicker and the fire was terribly big. The floor became hot under my feet. I saw an open door and rushed into a room. I decided to jump out of the window.

Before I could reach the window, one of my feet touched something soft and I fell down. The thing was like a pack of clothes. I picked it up to protect my face from the smoke.

I cried for help at the window, many people noticed me and they put many soft things on the ground. Then I jumped out of the window.

I was safe again when I reached the cold air outside. Suddenly, a young woman in a night-dress screamed as she saw me and ran to me quickly.

“My baby! My baby!” she cried. Many people cheered loudly when the woman took “the pack of clothes” out of my arms.
